Big Smile Robert W. Birch, Ph.D.

Dr. Birch is a 1960 graduate of Muskingum College where he received a BA in Psychology. He completed his MA in Psychology at The Ohio University in 1962, and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin in 1967. During his 35+ years of teaching a clinical practice, he has taught as a guest lecturer and adjunct faculty member at The Muskingum Area Technical College, The Ohio University (Zanesville Branch), The Ohio State University (Family Therapy Program) and The University of Dayton (Capital University Branch). He has presented lectures and workshops throughout the United States, including those presented as a sex therapy consultant and Honorary Visiting Professor for the United States Air Force.

During his professional career, Dr. Birch has been certified as a School Psychologist (State of Wisconsin), as a Psychologist (State of Ohio until Nov. '98), as a Family Therapist (National Alliance of Certified Family Therapists), as a Sex Educator (American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors & Therapists), as the first Certified Sex Therapist in the State of Ohio (American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors & Therapists), and as a Clinical Sexologist by the American Academy of Clinical Sexologists. He had been designated a Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (and had been the first President of the Ohio AAMFT Division), a Diplomate of the American Board of Sexology, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Psychology (having also served on the ABFP Examining Board). He was recognized as a qualified supervisor of training by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, The American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists, and The American Academy of Clinical Sexologists.

Dr. Birch is now retired and is no longer licensed as a Psychologist or certified as a Sex Therapist, and is no longer in clinical practice. He lives in rural Ohio where he continues his interest in writing adult self-help books and adding to the collection of his original limericks (which now number well over one thousand). He now identifies himself as a Sexologist (one who studies sexuality) and as an Adult Sexuality Educator, but also as a Limerickogist (one who studies limericks) and author.

The following are links to other web sites hosted by Dr. Birch. Although none of these sites are explict, most do deal with adult material.

Just Limericks
The following are websites of interest to limericks lovers, but be careful. You will encounter some verse that is quite dirty and a lot that are just plain fun! Most are well written, but you will also find a lot of bad limericks that violate the basic rules. Hopefully you will know the difference.

SO MANY WEBSITE, SO LITTLE TIME.

Pentatette Seal

This site has received the Pentatette Seal of Approval which, with 75¢, can get you a half-way decent cup of coffee almost anywhere. If you like coffee and you like limericks, then go to the PENTATETTE WEB SITE and join the Limericks Special Interest Group. It is inexpensive to join, but the experience of reading the newletter over a cup of coffee is priceless. It is not quite as good with a cup of tea!

Notification of receipt of this prestigious award was sent by Arthur Deex (A.K.A. "The Limericks Doctor"). I was informed in his e-mail that I could lift the seal from his website. Having done so, I informed him in the appropriate tongue-in-cheek manner:

Well I lifted the seal from your site,
As I'm sure you had thought that I might.
I have fed it some fish,
       In a large pewter dish,
And have put it to bed for the night.
